Your information, handled with care.

Margin Business Systems is operated by Lachlan Joel Pantu, trading as Margin Business Systems, in Melbourne, Australia. This policy explains how I handle information collected through this website and ordinary business enquiries.

What you share

The enquiry form asks for your name, business or organisation, email address and a description of what you would like to discuss. Your phone number is optional. You can also contact Margin directly by email. Without enough contact information, I may not be able to reply.

Please don’t include sensitive personal, health, financial or identity information, or private information about your clients, patients or staff. A general description of the business process is enough.

How enquiries are used

I use your details to read and respond to your enquiry, arrange a conversation and follow up on the work you have asked about. I may manually transfer or export relevant details into Margin’s internal contact or CRM records.

The services involved

Cloudflare Pages hosts the website. Cloudflare receives technical request information such as IP address, requested page and browser information to deliver and protect it.

The form sends your enquiry directly to Formspark. Formspark stores it in Margin’s account and sends an owner email notification. That notification also creates a copy in Margin’s business email system (Microsoft 365). Formspark may process your IP address, approximate location and request information for security and submission handling.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated submissions. It processes technical browser and device signals and IP address for spam protection.

Overseas processing

These providers operate internationally. Formspark is operated from Belgium and states that submission data is stored in Ireland and Germany; some supporting providers process information elsewhere, including the United States. Cloudflare operates a global network and may process information in the United States, Europe and other countries. Business email and manually maintained records may also involve overseas provider processing. Your information may therefore be processed or stored outside Australia.

Provider details are available in the Formspark Privacy Policy, Formspark subprocessors list, Cloudflare Privacy Policy and Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Storage and deletion

For ordinary enquiries that do not become client matters, I manually delete records 12 months after the last meaningful contact, or earlier when they are no longer needed. This applies to Formspark submissions, notification emails, exports and manual CRM copies. Client, contractual and financial records are handled separately according to their business purpose and applicable recordkeeping requirements.

Enquiries can exist in Formspark, notification emails and any manual CRM records or exports. Deleting a Formspark record does not automatically remove those other copies. You can contact Margin to request access, correction or deletion, including asking about the copies held for your enquiry.

Formspark keeps accepted submissions until they are deleted, with deleted submissions recoverable for 30 days. Other provider records, security logs and backups may follow separate retention periods; see the Formspark Privacy Policy for details. Deletion is not necessarily immediate across every provider system.

Cookies and your browser

This website has no advertising pixels, behavioural analytics or marketing cookies. Turnstile may use browser security mechanisms; its handling is described in Cloudflare’s information above.

Questions, requests or concerns

Email hello@marginbusinesssystems.com.au with a privacy question, access or correction request, deletion request or complaint. Please provide enough context to locate your enquiry without emailing sensitive identity documents. I may need to confirm your identity before releasing or changing a record.

I will review privacy concerns, investigate relevant records and provider handling where needed, and respond with the outcome and any steps to address the concern.

This policy may be updated when the website or its services change. The date above identifies the current version.
